About This Site

Welcome to the new and improved Unofficial Resource Site for Sothink DHTML Menu. Well, it is new, but we're not sure about the improved part. We developed and maintain this site as a service to users of DHTML Menu and for those who are looking for more information before purchasing the program.

Previously we developed a new site for each major release of the program, but no more. From now on this will be the only Unofficial Resource Site and it will be updated as new versions of the program are released.

In the past we have received questions regarding the tools we use in our Web site development business. Here is a list of the software used in the development of this site:

Adobe Creative Suite 4 Web Premium (Dreamweaver CS4, Flash CS4 Professional, Photoshop CS4 Extended, Illustrator CS4, Fireworks CS4, Acrobat 9 Pro, Soundbooth CS4, Contribute CS4, Adobe Bridge CS4, Adobe Device Central CS4, Version Cue CS4) - The essential suite for professional Web site development.

Accordion Panel Magic 2 (Project Seven) - A commercial Dreamweaver extension used to create the accordion panels on the "Problems & Solutions" page.

Eric Meyer's CSS Sculptor 2 - A commercial Dreamweaver extension used to develop the standards compliant CSS layouts used on this site.

GreyBox Smart Window (Orangoo Labs) - A very versatile lightbox implementation (and it's free) used to create the lightbox windows on the "Advanced Techniques" page.

Nifty Corners Cube - Creates rounded corners without graphics.and it's free. There is an example on the home page.

Snagit 9 - Commercial screen capture software used for the screen captures on this site..

Sothink DHTML Menu - The best Web site menu generator. Used to generate the DHTML menus on this site.

Sothink JavaScript Web Scroller - A very versatile program that creates a variety of Web scrollers. Used to create the news scroller on the home page.

We hope you will help us keep this site accurate, current, and interesting. Constructive criticism is always appreciated, and If you find errors in spelling, grammar, or information about the program, or if you have suggestions for improving this site, please send an email to bill@bestwebmenu.com.
